Humble Store Spring Sale: 10 Great Games You Can Get for Cheap

Humble Bundle is having a Humble Store Spring Sale and it is offering discounts for thousands of games. Since I can’t possibly list all the games that are on sale, I’m just going to focus on the 10 best games you can get for cheap during the Humble Store Spring Sale.

Oh, and if you want something that doesn't cost a thing, you can grab Dungeons 2 for free. But act fast, because the deal is available until Saturday, May 13. The Spring Sale isn't going away as fast as that though. It ends on Thursday, May 25, at 10AM Pacific Time.

1. XCOM 2

Seeing that XCOM: Enemy Unknown is almost five years old, I’m just going to assume that you already got to play it. If you haven’t, then you really should. During the Humble Store Spring Sale, you can get this award-winning strategy game for 75% off. But let’s not get sidetracked here and let’s get back to the XCOM 2.

So you loved playing Enemy Unknown, you loved the Enemy Within expansion, and you would have loved to play XCOM 2, but you never got around to doing it because the price was too high. Worry about money no more, because Humble Bundle is offering a great deal on XCOM 2 and great deals on other XCOM titles.
  • XCOM 2 – 60% off, priced at $24 and €20.
  • XCOM 2 Digital Deluxe Edition – 60% off, priced at $30 and €26. It includes the base game, XCOM 2 Reinforcement Pack, and the digital soundtrack.
  • XCOM Enemy Unknown – 75% off, priced at $7.5 and €5.
  • XCOM Enemy Within – 75% off, priced at $7.5 and €6.24. This is an expansion for Enemy Unknown.
  • XCOM Enemy Unknown Complete Pack – 75% off, priced at $12.5 and €7.5. It includes the Enemy Unknown game, the Enemy Within expansion, the Elite Soldier Pack and the Slingshot Pack.
  • The Bureau: XCOM Declassified – 80% off, priced at $4 and €4. This title isn’t a turn-based tactics game, it’s a third-person tactical shooter.
All the XCOM titles mentioned above are offered via Steam key. All the other games on this list are offered via STeam key as well.

2. Sid Meier’s Civilization VI

Civilization VI is the latest iteration in the turn-based 4X video game series, and since it’s been released just 7 months ago, don’t expect the discount to be terribly generous. Still, it’s better than nothing at all, right? You get to play the latest Civilization title, explore all the new features it has to offer, and you can save some money in the process.

Older Civilization titles are on sale as well. So if you’re not that eager to get Civ VI and you’ve yet to play Civ V or Beyond Earth, this is your chance to get them real cheap.
Where there are price differences between $ and €, I mentioned both prices. Where there are no differences, I included just the $ price tag.

3. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

The Pre-Sequel is the latest release in the Borderlands series of action role-playing first-person shooter video games. It takes place in between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, with the story focusing on Handsome Jack and explaining how he rose to power.

Don’t know who Handsome Jack is? Well, why don’t you get the Borderlands games and find out for yourself. They’re all on sale and heavily discounted.
XCOM, Sid Meier’s Civilization, and Borderlands are all part of a 2K Sale on the Humble Store. The sale features other titles published by 2K Games, like Mafia III, Bioshock, and Spec Ops The Line.

4. Darksiders Franchise Pack

Earlier this month THQ Nordic officially announced that they’re working on Darksiders III and that they plan to release it sometime in 2018. Plenty of time then to go back and replay all the previous Darksiders games – especially since you can get all of them for just ten bucks.
Several other THQ Nordic games are one sale on the Humble Store.

5. Dishonored 2

Dishonored 2 is an action-adventure stealth video game that was released in November 2016. It is the sequel to 2012’s Dishonored, taking place 15 years after the original game. Supernatural assassin Corvo Attano is now older and more experienced. And Emily Kaldwin, who was 10 in the original game, is now 25 and ruler over the Empire of the Isles. But she is dethroned and the Empire plunges into chaos. Choose if you want to play as Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, use their unique supernatural powers, and save the Empire.

If you already know what Dishonored 2 is all about and you want to get the game, you can buy it for half off during the Humble Store Spring Sale. If you’re not sure about Dishonored 2, you can get the free trial that is available on Steam. Try the game, see how you like it, and then decide if it’s worth your money or not.
Make sure that your PC can actually handle Dishonored 2 and check out all the achievements that are waiting to be unlocked.

6. DOOM

If you like shooting demons in the face while industrial-thrash songs play in the background, then this game is for you! I for one loved every second of Doom. The graphics look great, the award-winning soundtrack is right up my alley, and the brutal action is terribly fun. And when you’re done with the single player campaign, you can try your hand at a multiplayer online match.

Just like Dishonored, Doom is available as a free demo on Steam. Check it out and then decide if you want to buy the game or not.
  • Doom – 50% off, priced at $30.
Several other Bethesda games are on sale on the Humble Store, including Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4.

7. Mad Max

Released back in September 2015, Mad Max is an open-world, third-person action game that’s set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland – the same wasteland as the Mad Max movies. Only the strongest survive in this open-world filled with dangers! As you explore it, you’ll get into vicious on-ground melee fights as well as physics-based vehicular combat against savage factions that want to control the wasteland.
  • Mad Max – 50% off, priced at $10.
I bought Mad Max back in September 2016, when it was 75% off on Steam. I didn’t get a better deal though, because I paid $10 for it.

8. Batman Arkham Knight

You probably bought all the Batman Arkham games back in April, when Steam had a Batman Arkham Franchise sale. You didn’t? No problem, you have yet another chance to get them for cheap. All the games in the Batman Arkham series are discounted on the Humble Store, starting with 2015’s Arkham Knight and going back to 2009’s Arkham Asylum.
The LEGO Batman games are on sale as well. Check them out on the Humble Store’s WB Games page.

9. Dark Souls III

The list had to include something that’s challenging and brutal, a game that wouldn’t just let you fly through it. So obviously, I picked Dark Souls III, the latest iteration in a series of action role-playing video games that don’t take it easy on you. If you want to play and finish a Dark Souls game, you’d better "git gud".
Dark Souls III is published by Bandai Namco, and I bring this up only to mention the Bandai Namco Sale on the Humble Store.

10. Darkest Dungeon

And I’m going to end this list with another game that’s brutally difficult: Darkest Dungeon, a dungeon crawling video game that’s often referred to as “the 2D version of Darkest Souls.” You’ll have to recruit and train a team of flawed heroes and lead them through twisted forests, forgotten warrens, ruined crypts, and more. On top of having to battle unimaginable foes, you’ll also have to fight stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching dark. Should one of your heroes die, they are gone forever – there’s no bringing them back.

Go visit the Humble Store and see what other games are discounted as part of the Spring Sale.

And while you’re there, you might want to grab Dungeons 2 for free. But act fast, because the game is free for a limited period of time – until Saturday, May 13.

The Humble Store Spring Sale will end later than that, on May 25 at 10AM Pacific Time.
