Let me ask you a question, a simple question. What do video games, shooters in particular, have in common? If you answered "weapons," give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back. You’ve earned it.

Weapons are what’s known as a "game mechanic". One of multiple mechanics a game uses and one of several factors that influence the "gameplay." So while lots of video games feature weapons as their main game mechanic, their gameplay varies for the simple reason that the gameplay experience depends on how multiple game mechanics work together.

But when you focus on just one game mechanic and compare it to the overall gameplay, the results are hilarious. That's what Mart Virkus did in the comic below.
