Great news for all the Windows Phone users out there: 'Despicable Me: Minion Rush', a game based on Despicable Me 2, is now available for download in the Windows Phone Store.

So while you wait to track Santa with the new Santa Tracker website that has been revamped by Internet Explorer, play a very nice game on your Windows-powered mobile touch device.

Earlier this week Microsoft was glad to announce that its Windows Phone Store is home to an interesting new game, a game based on the very popular Despicable Me 2 computer-animated action comedy film. The new game in question is a free title developed by Gameloft and entitled 'Despicable Me: Minion Rush'.

“Gru’s loyal yellow gibberish-speaking Minions are ready for their toughest challenge in Despicable Me: Minion Rush. Play as a Minion and compete with others in hilarious, fast-paced challenges in order to impress your boss, (former?) super-villain Gru!” says the game’s description on the Windows Phone Store.

'Despicable Me: Minion Rush' isn’t a Windows Phone exclusive, mind you. The game is also available for iOS and Android. You can get it for free from Apple’s App Store and from Google’s Play Store. Play it on whatever device you have – an iPhone, an Android, or a Windows Phone.

I mentioned above something about the new Santa Tracker website that has been revamped by Internet Explorer. This year, NORAD decided to partner with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Team and as part of the partnership the IE Team came up with a revamped, immersive, and highly entertaining Santa Tracker website. The site lets you watch Santa’s journey around the globe, features a virtual recreation of Santa’s village, provides access to fun games, and more.

Here’s another thing that you can do while you wait to track Santa with the new Santa Tracker website: get an animated, musical, and best of all customizable holiday e-card from PowerPoint MVP Sandra Johnson. Edit it and send it out to your colleagues, friends, family members, and loved ones.
