Linux Mint 14 codename Nadia has graduated out of RC (Release Candidate) status and is now available as final, stable operating system.

Earlier this month we were reporting that the Release Candidate (RC) of Linux Mint 14 Nadia was rolled out to the public. You can now forget about the RC – as of this week Nadia shed the RC status and is now available for download as a stable OS.

“The team is proud to announce the release of Linux Mint 14 Nadia,” said Lead Linux Mint Developer Clem Lefebvre. For the first time since Linux Mint 11, the development team was able to capitalize on upstream technology which works and fits its goals. After 6 months of incremental development, Linux Mint 14 features an impressive list of improvements, increased stability and a refined desktop experience.”

If you’re currently on Linux Mint 14 RC, you can upgrade by applying any available level 1 and 2 updates.

If you’re on an older version of Linux Mint and you want to upgrade to v. 14, instructions on how to do so are available here.

And if you want to start fresh, you can download Linux Mint 14 Nadia here. More download links are available on the Linux Mint blog here.
