In a world filled with hectic schedules, stress, long hours at the office and unhealthy eating habits, we permanently put our health on the line. Luckily enough, there are a multitude of iPhone apps out there meant to keep us fit and healthy, and here are the ones that I would like to present to you.

The first one is Health Cubby, an app that will help you eat right and exercise, but the interesting thing is that it not only does so in a very realistic manner, but it ads a social perspective to your training. You get to set weekly and long term goals, and then connect with as many as 7 of your friends. You will feel stimulated to stick to your goals since you get to see how the others in your group are fairing.

TheCarrot is also meant to aid you in eating right and exercising properly, but it comes with a bonus: you have access to the extensive archive of well-being articles from TheCarrot.com. Besides exercising and eating right, this iPhone app also lets you keep tabs on hypertension, asthma and diabetes.

Catching a cold is one of the most commonly encountered health problems. Never again will you be caught in the rain without an umbrella thanks to the AccuWeather.com develop iPhone app, which goes well beyond a simple weather forecast. It is location-aware so you always get the forecast for the next five days in the area that interests you, it has hour-by-hour forecasts, national and regional forecasts for when you are on the road, graphs that present the potential of weather conditions going severe, and even the quality of the air, the Flu and Arthritis index, and UV radiation level.

If you have a health problem and you need medication, then perhaps the Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary app will come in handy. It features well over 35,000 entries including generic drugs and brand names.

Additional details and a download location for Health cubby are available here.
