The new Halo: Spartan Strike game, which has just been rolled out to the public, is available for Windows, Windows Phone, iPhone and iPad. That's a big deal because this is the first time since the original Halo that a Halo game is available for a non-Windows platform.

Do not confuse Halo: Spartan Strike with Halo: Spartan Assault. Released back in the summer of 2013, Spartan Assault is the original Halo top-down shooter. In Spartan Assault you can play as Commander Sarah Palmer or Spartan Davis and go through the historic first missions of the Spartan Ops program.

Getting back to Halo: Spartan Strike, the action is set during the events of Halo 2. The goal is to save Earth from being overtaken. To achieve this goal, you have to lead UNSC troops, use the iconic Warthog or the brand new Kestrel VTOL, and crush all the Covenant and Promethean enemies that come your way. You will get to play through 30 challenging missions, you will get to use a new arsenal of weapons, you will get to use new vehicles, you will get to test new abilities.
