Following out reports on Debian 5, Linux Mint 6 x 64 RC1, and Super Ubuntu 2008.11, it is our pleasure to announce that the Granular Project has made version 1.0 of their Granular Linux distro available to the general public. With this recent release the developers have focused on solving quite a few bug problems and on introducing several new features to the OS.

“After a long wait, Granular 1.0 is finally out. And we are pretty much excited about this release because this is the first stable Granular release since about a year, and because it's version 1, of course. This final release of Granular 1.0 brings with it solid stability, out-of-the-box usefulness, great multimedia experience, support for running Windows software, and all of this & much more in the size of a CD (livecd), explains Anurag Bhandari.
