Count the days, hours and minutes until Santa departs on his trip around the world, have a fun race with reindeer, send holiday wishes to friends, family, and loved ones, and join in the preparations for Christmas Eve. You can do all these things if you check out Google’s Santa Tracker website, extension for Chrome, or app for Android.

Google Santa Tracker - Where's Santa?

Google’s Santa Tracker, which I presented last year, is back.

A year ago I was telling you that “Google’s team of developers built a new route algorithm to chart Santa’s journey and rolled out the new Google Santa Tracker.”

This year I am going to tell you the same thing that Google said: “after 11 months soaking up the sun in the tropics, Santa and his elves are back at the North Pole getting ready for Christmas Eve.”

Or to put it in other words, Google’s Santa Tracker is back. It presents a countdown to Santa’s departure, lets you visit Santa’s Village and see how the elves are getting ready for Christmas, it lets you play fun games (catapult presents or race with reindeer), and it lets you send out holiday wishes to friends and family. Mind you, the message will seem to come from Santa himself!

Last year, Google’s Santa Tracker was available as a website, Chrome extension, and Android app. Things won’t be any different this year. The Google Santa Tracker website is already up and running, the extension is available in the Chrome Web Store, and the Android app will be released mid-December.

In related news, you may also want to check out NORAD’s Santa Tracker website, which was revamped by Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team this year. The immersive website lets you track Santa around the world, lets you visit Santa’s village, lets you play fun games, listen to holiday music, and more.
