Google Now, the service that delivers the right information at the right time, now has some handy movie-related information to offer.

The Google Search app has been recently updated and the good news is that the built-in Google Now service has been improved so that it better caters to the needs of movie lovers. Google Now tells you when it is time to leave for the movies, pull up your tickets when you get there, and hooks you up with movie reviews.

Ratings from Rotten Tomatoes
Before you go see a movie, it is a good idea to check out some ratings and find out if that movie is worth watching. Rotten Tomatoes is a reputable, trustworthy source of movie reviews, information, and news. The movie cards that Google Now presents now present the latest ratings from Rotten Tomatoes.

Notifications and Ticket Info thanks to Fandango
So you’ve used the Rotten Tomatoes info to figure out what you want to watch. If you purchase the movie tickets from Fandango, Google Now will ensure you don’t miss the movie. It will do so by remind you when it is time to leave for the movie theater. And once you get there, Google Now will pull up your tickets.

Google Now Home and Lock Screen Widget
Just so you don’t miss out on any of the movie-related info presented above, Google Now has another nice treat for you: a Google Now widget can be placed on your Android device’s home or lock screen. You will not have to open the app to access any of the information Google Now has to offer.

“When computers do the hard work, you can get on with the things that matter in life. Google Now helps you do just that, giving you the information you need, before you even have to ask. Like updating you with flight times, pulling up your boarding pass when you arrive at the airport, or showing you the weather at your next travel destination,” said Baris Gultekin, Product Management Director.
