Google Keep Reminds You of Important Tasks

Google Keep, the free app that lets you store whatever is on your mind, has been updated. You can now use the app to create reminders.

The latest version of Google Keep for Android, version 2.0.35, comes with support for reminders. This means that the app will let you assign time and location reminders for the notes you create. It also means that Google Keep will remind you about important tasks through notifications and through Google Now – if Google Now is installed, of course.

“Notes are a good way to keep track of all you have to do, but most of us need a little nudge now and then,” commented Erin Rosenthal, Product Manager. “Google Keep can remind you of important tasks and errands at just the right time and place. For example, Keep works with Google Now to remind you of your grocery list when you walk into your favorite grocery store, and nudges you on Thursday night to take out the trash.”

That’s not all the new stuff Google Keep has to offer. The updated app also lets you:
  • Take photos from your gallery and attach them to notes.
  • Swipe between photos to view all photos in a note.
  • Switch between accounts via the sliding navigation drawer.
You can get Google Keep for Android for free from the Play Store.
Please note that the app works with Android 4.0 or newer.

Google introduced the Keep app back in March, explaining at the time that the app provides a central location for storing whatever is on your mind. You see, you can use the app to take notes, create checklists, take photos and annotate them.

Google Keep Main Features
  • Write down ideas, thoughts, anything you want.
  • Take pics and annotate them.
  • Checklists are of course featured
  • All your notes are stored on Google Drive, meaning they can easily be accessed from other devices.

  • Archive or delete notes when you no longer need them.
