The social Plants vs Zombies Adventures game is now available on Facebook. Trust me, this is a game you’ll want to play!

For a while now we’ve known that PopCap Games is working on Plants vs Zombies Adventures and we’ve been patiently waiting for the game to be released. A couple of months back, the social version of Plants vs Zombies was indeed released – but as a limited Beta. Only a select, small number of people got to play the game.

As of this week, the wait is over. PopCap Games announced that Plants vs Zombies Adventures has opened to the general public. The game launched worldwide on popular social networking site Facebook. If you’re anxious to get started follow this link to start playing the game. As a fan of Plants vs Zombies, I find this game to be quite exciting. A must play in my book!

“We’re thrilled to bring new ‘Adventures’ to Plants vs. Zombies fans around the world, challenging them to use new strategies to defeat zombies as they come from all directions in a range of cool new settings,” said Curt Bererton, Executive Producer at PopCap. “We know gamers have been clamoring for new ways to play and compare their PvZ prowess with friends — and now they can do that for the first time!"

Plants vs Zombies Adventures comes with new combat mechanics and new content: zombies come from all directions, you can go on road trips, plants can get boosts, there are new plants and new power-ups for your plants, there are new zombies as well, and there are fun social features, of course. Go play the game to find out what's new or check out the video below for a quick taste of what it's like to play Plants vs Zombies Adventures.

The next big release on Popcap’s schedule is Plants vs Zombies 2, the official sequel to the original Plants vs. Zombies game. PopCap once again said the sequel is scheduled for a summer release – and once gain kept quite on what new features the game will have to offer.
