Based on the 20th Century Fox movie Rio, Angry Birds Rio features more than 200 levels of cage busting fun. In the regular Angry Birds edition, you must fling the birds and take out the evil green pigs. In Angry Birds Rio you must destroy and free the caged birds that were kidnapped and taken to Rio de Janeiro. The app features Blu and Jewel, the two macaws who star in the Rio movie, the exciting physics-based gameplay of Angry Birds, and some unique twists based on the Rio movie.

If you’re not familiar with the Rio movie, here’s a short synopsis. Blu, a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly, and Linda, Blu’s owner and best friend, think that Blu is the last of his kind. They find out that there’s another Macaw in Rio de Janeiro called Jewel. So Blu and Linda go to Rio de Janeiro. A group of bungling animal smugglers then kidnap Blu and Jewel. After Blu and Jewel escape their kidnappers, thanks to Jewel’s street smarts and a group of wise-cracking and smooth-talking city birds, Blu has to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda.

In related news, Temple Run 2 for Android will be rolled out to Android users on the Play Store. The app has already been rolled out to the App Store.
