For the developers who submitted their games to the Game On 2010 competition, Mozilla Lab’s first international gaming competition open to developers from all over the world who want to create complex and not so complex games with Open Web technologies, the exciting bit is getting their games out there and potentially winning some cool prizes (more on the prizes later).

For the regular user, the exciting part about the Game On 2010 competition – which was launched as a means to kick off the Mozilla Labs Gaming Initiative, an initiative that focuses on games developed, delivered and played on the Open Web and the browser – is getting to check out all the various games the developers mentioned above game up with.

According to Julie Shin Choi, who manages the Game On 2010 competition for Mozilla Labs, a grand total of 160 games have been submitted to Mozilla by eager developers who wanted to take part in the Game On 2010 competition. Out of those 160 submissions, 36 have been discarded; the remaining 124 games are now available in the Game On Gallery.

You can now go to the Game On Gallery and check out a grand total of 124 games, games built with Open Web Technologies, games that work across platforms and modern web browsers.

If you register on the Game On 2010 site, you can rate the games showcased in the gallery. Rating is necessary so Mozilla can award the Community Choice prize.
