Remember the video Samsung recently rolled out, the one that makes fun of the iPhone’s dreadful battery life and calls iPhone users “wall huggers”?

Well, Samsung rolled out a new video, one that shows how you can go on a 7-day, coast-to-coast road trip and not have to charge your Galaxy S5 once!

Earlier this month, Samsung released a video called “Wall Huggers.” The video makes fun of the fact that iPhone battery life is dreadful and consequently iPhone users spend a lot of time clustered around power outlets, waiting for their mobiles to charge.

You can hear the voiceover saying the following:
“Tethered to the wall, denied the freedom to enjoy even the most basic things, like grabbing a drink, or sharing a laugh with your coworkers, or sitting with someone you know. You’re stuck here, until your battery says so. Don’t be a wall hugger!”

The Wall Huggers video focuses on two Galaxy S5 features:
  1. Ultra Power Saving Mode – feature that shuts down unnecessary apps to drastically minimize battery use.
  2. Removable Battery – take the back cover off and you can replace your drained battery with a fresh one.
A few days ago, Samsung rolled a video called “One Charge Challenge: Coast to Coast”. The video shows how, thanks to Ultra Power Saving Mode, you can go on a 7-day trip from one cost to another, and not have to charge your Galaxy S5 once.

This new video focuses on the same features as the Wall Huggers video:
  1. Ultra Power Saving Mode – 3504 miles driven, 7 days on the road, 150 hours traveled, 86 texts sent, 119 photos taken, 4+ minutes of video, 16+ minutes of talk time, 13 states visited, and 0 charges.
  2. Removable Battery – the video ends with the protagonist changing the drained battery with a new one and and saying “wanna head back?”

I wouldn’t go as far as to say that smartphones are ruining your life, but there are times when they make things unnecessarily hard for you. Or at least more annoying! Who would of thought that having a powerful minicomputer in your pocket would be a bad thing?
