Philips Hue smart light bulbs can react in real time to what happens in Chariot, Frima's co-op physics-based platformer. This makes Chariot the first game in the world to be synced with smart home lighting from Philips.

“As a leading digital entertainment company in Canada, Frima innovates yet again bringing the video game experience to a whole new level of immersion,” said Frima CEO Steve Couture. “We are very proud to be the first in the world to integrate Philips Hue lighting with a videogame and are excited to offer this unique experience to fans of Chariot.”

About Frima’s Chariot Game

Chariot is a co-op physics-based platformer developed by Frima, Canada’s largest independent game developer; you may know it as the company behind the addictive Nun Attack games.

The story behind the Chariot game is a fairly simple one: even though the King died, his ghost is still here and it’s demanding that you get the funeral wagon to the King’s final resting place. Obviously, this means you’ll have to deal with various obstacles as you try to get the funeral wagon to its destination.

Chariot lets you play as the brave Princess or as her faithful Fiancé. It features local-multiplayer oriented gameplay for pure living room excitement and cooperative gameplay mechanics focused on discovery and loot.

Chariot is currently available on Xbox One, Wii U, PSP, PSE, and Steam.

About Frima’s Collaboration with Philips

Frima and Philips recently announced the integration of Phillips Hue connected lighting with Frima’s hit game Chariot. Philips Hue lighting can interact in real time with the Chariot gameplay.

But mind you, this feature is officially available exclusively on Microsoft’s Xbox One.

“With its stunning art and mesmerizing environments, Chariot is a perfect fit to demonstrate the full potential of Philips Hue for games and Frima is the ideal partner to help us showcase a technological world premiere,” said Wout Verhagen, Director Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at Philips.

“Chariot has been a great title in our ID@Xbox portfolio since it launched into Games With Gold last year. We’re thrilled that Frima is pushing the boundaries with this new technology from Philips Hue and are really excited to see it come to Xbox.” Said Chris Charla, Director ID@Xbox at Microsoft.
