I like it when it can get a useful application that makes my life easier. I like it even better when I can get a useful application and not part with my hard earned money to get it. With that in mind, I wanted to tell you that you could get two great applications free of charge.

The first application you can get free of charge is the Uniblue-developed SpeedUpMyPC, an application that, as its name so adequately points out, helps make your operating system faster. What SpeedUpMyPC does is it scans your PC and finds out what it can do to speed it up. There are three types of scans:

- Speed tools: boost Windows, file navigation, software launch speed.
- System Tweaks: improve internet access, system resources and visual effect usage.
- Junk files: remove redundant files to save system resources.

To get SpeedUpMyPC 2011 all you have to do is go to this promo page and click the big, yellow Get your FREE product link. Then you will have to provide a few details about yourself, including your email address. After you click the Complete Registration button, you will be presented with the link to download SpeedUpMyPC 2011 and the key to activate it. Uniblue will also send the free license key to the email address you provided. After you install SpeedUpMyPC 2011, use the license to activate the product.

Please note that the SpeedUpMyPC 2011 giveaway comes with an expiration date – June 1st, 2011.

Moving on, if you are interested in getting Comodo Internet Security Pro 2011, you can get the security software solution for free for a year. Other security vendors let you try their paid solutions for a month (30 days). Well, Comodo Group is letting you try Comodo Internet Security Pro 2011 for free for 1 year.

You can get the free 1-year trial copy here.
