What’s better than rebooted versions of great shooter video games? Rebooted shooters that you can get for free. I am, of course, talking about the new Doom, which offers "a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience."

If you want to give the new Doom shooter a try but you’re not willing to spend any money on the game, I have some great news for you. Id Software and Bethesda are giving you the chance to demo the game for free, for a limited time only. Here are the details you need to know about.

When can I get Doom for free?
During the week of E3 2016.

E3, the annual video game conference, takes place in LA between June 14 and June 16, 2016. During this time, you can get Doom for free. So if you didn’t get the chance to experience the game’s powerful guns, vicious demons and intense speed, this is your chance.

UPDATE June 22: Due to popular demand, Bethesda decided to make the demo available for a while longer. It didn't say for how long though. Hopefully, the demo will remain available for a long time to come.

What do I actually get?
The full first level.

If you were hoping for to get the entire game, let met make it perfectly clear that you won’t get the full game. What you will get is the first level. Just the first level, nothing more. Speaking about that, here’s a video that presents Doom’s first level.

Who can play the Doom demo?
PC, Xbox One and PS4 gamers.

The Doom demo is available for PC on Steam here.

It is available for Xbox One on Microsoft’s Store here.

And it’s available for PS4 on the PlayStation Store here or here.
