Trillian for Android 1.0 was released to the public as a Beta back in August. Cerulean Studios, the developer behind multiprotocol instant messaging app Trillian, said it released Trillian for Android because numerous users demanded a Trillian version for their Android-powered devices. Trillian for Android was such a requested app that Cerulean Studios couldn’t “handle any more blog comments or emails about it.”

Trillian for Android 1.0 Build 74, the first Trillian for Android update, was released by the end of August. Build 74 came with “an Android ’service’ for more reliable notifications, an ongoing notification option, improvements to the keyboard, and a large number of crash fixes.”

Trillian for Android 1.0 Build 80, the second Trillian for Android, was released at the start of the month (that would be September 3rd). This build came with improvements for the tabbed windows, tweaked bubble margins, new code to improve the speed of message window opening, and fixes for numerous crash bugs and issues.
The third Trillian for Android update, Build 87, was released on September 10. It brought the following with it: tabs diplays typing notifications and an unread count, the user can change the notification sound, new preferences to tweak WiFi management and battery saving mode were added, several bugs and stability issued were addressed.

A couple of days ago Cerulean Studios announced the release of Build 110, the fourth Trillian for Android 1.0 Beta update. Here’s what the developer had to say about Build 110:

“New features include the ability to group your contact list by service or to run in a “no groups” mode. Also, users of 2.2 can now benefit from Google’s C2DM service, which means your notifications should arrive almost instantly! If you’re on 2.2 and want to try this, make sure the battery saving preference is enabled to get started. As always, we’ve also fixed a number of bugs in this build.”

If you are already Beta testing Trillian for Android, you need only sign out; when you sign back in, you will see an update notification.
