Football Promo: Skype Offers Free Landline Calls for a Whole Month

I like it when I can get stuff on the cheap or for free and I am sure you do too. You will thus be quite happy to find out that for an entire month Skype is offering free landline calls to numerous countries around the world – if you get a subscription that allows you to call landline numbers across the world.

Skype is doing this as part of a promotion in honor of the 2010 Fifa World Cup. You can make unlimited calls to certain countries, 120 minutes worth of calls to others, and 60 minutes worth of calls to other countries. Below you will find a detailed list.

For a whole month you can make unlimited landline calls to the following countries (in alphabetic order):
  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • Chile
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Italy
  • the Netherlands
  • New Zealand
  • Portugal
  • Slovakia
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • UK
  • USA (you can also make unlimited calls to mobiles in the US)

For a whole month you can make 120 minutes worth of calls to landline numbers in the following countries (sorted in alphabetic order):
  • Mexico
  • Nigeria
  • Slovenia
  • South Africa
  • Switzerland

For a whole month you can make 60 minutes worth of calls to landline numbers in the following countries:
  • Algeria
  • Cameroon
  • Ghana
  • 60 minutes free calls to landlines and mobiles in Honduras
  • 60 minutes free calls to landlines and mobiles in Japan
  • Paraguay
  • Serbia
  • Uruguay

You also get 400 minutes for free, to call landlines in Brazil for one month.
