Flickr Optimized for the iPad's Large Screen, Skype Optimized for Every iPhone Screen Size

Flickr recently announced that it updated the Flickr app for iOS. Flickr 3.2, the updated version in question, is optimized for the iPad’s larger screen.

Skype recently announced that it updated the Skype app for iOS. Skype 5.6, the updated version in question, is optimized for every iPhone screen size, including the larger screen size of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Flickr for iPad – Flickr for iOS version 3.2

Flickr, the Yahoo!-owned photo and video hosting site, recently introduced Flickr for iPad. The Flickr app for iOS has been updated to version 3.2, thus introducing support for the iPad’s larger screen.

“We’ve heard you loud and clear asking for an official app on Apple’s beautiful, large retina display, which makes it easy and enjoyable to access, organize and share your stunning photos from anywhere,” said Kay Kremerskothen, Community Manager for Flickr. “This version of the Flickr iOS app is optimized to take full advantage of the larger screen on iPad, while delivering the gorgeous design you expect of Flickr, our powerful camera, and the versatility you need to manage your photos while on the go,” he added.

Please note that this latest version of Flickr requires iOS 8.0.

Skype for iPhone – Skype for iOS version 5.6

Skype, the Microsoft-owned voice-over IP and instant messaging service, recently updated the Skype app for iOS to version 5.6. This latest version has been optimized to work with every iPhone screen size and provides native resolution support for the larger screens of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

“On an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6+, Skype 5.6 displays more of your recent chats and shows more messages in conversation view, helping you to communicate with your friends and family quickly and simply,” said Product Marketing Manager at Skype, Lara Kingwell. “ Now whether you’re using an iPhone 4 or an iPhone 6+ you’ll get the best Skype experience for your screen size,” she added.
