Yahoo!-owned image and video hosting website Flickr has recently announced that it has new photo editing capabilities to offer because it partnered with Aviary, company that aims to help everyone in the world be more creative via its simple photo editor. Aviary’s mission is “to power the world’s creativity” and its founders, Avi Muchnick, Iz Derdik, and Michael Galpert, have been helping artists be creative online for years.

Aviary provides a better photo editing solution for web and mobile apps; its photo editor can be integrated into web and mobile apps and thus it lets you easily edit your images on your computer or on your iOS or Android-powered mobile device. Flickr partnered up with Aviary so it can offer the Aviary photo editing experience to all its users.

The Aviary photo editor will become part of Flickr in the coming weeks. It is currently being rolled out to the Flickr community and once the rollout completes (it started on Thursday, April 5, and is expected to complete in two weeks) Aviary will show up in the Actions menu.

“Tens of thousands of members edit their photos on Flickr each day, so we know that photo editing is something that the Flickrverse cares about,” commented Senior Product Manager Georges Haddad. “We listened to you to find out what you value the most in an online photo editor, and the same 2 attributes kept coming back: speed and simplicity.”

Speed and simplicity is what Aviary has to offer. Speed – the photo editing experience is fast and uncluttered. Simplicity – editing photos with Aviary is a simple and fun experience; novices will have no problem getting stared with the photo editor and experienced users will like that Aviary is quite a versatile tool. With Aviary you can apply filters to photos, add stickers and text, then save the edited image to your photo stream.
