Flickr Is Also Hiring

Just like several other big name companies have, Flickr has announced that it wants to expand its team and bring more people on board. Flickr Senior Community Manager at Yahoo!, Zack Sheppard said that “if you love Flickr, are awesome, and want to work at a place where people are excited to come to work every day then Flickr might be the place for you.”

Several positions have opened up at Flickr, Sheppard went on to say. Aspiring software engineers, product managers, and product designers can try and get a job with Flickr. Almost forgot that there’s also an opening for an engineering manager position. If these jobs and the chance to work with Flickr sound interesting, head over to Flickr’s jobs page to find out more on how to apply.

I mentioned above that several other big name companies have announced that they are hiring. Here’s what I am talking about:

Skype – Skype announced that it will open up 350 jobs in 2011. Skype's growing and ramping its innovation of new products across different platforms for consumers and businesses, so it’s adding more people to its global team

YouTube – Google, who owns the incredibly popular video sharing site said it wants to expand the YouTube team in 2011. Jeff Ferguson, YouTube HR, announced that in 2011 Google plans to “grow the number of people working at YouTube by more than 30%, making it the largest hiring year in YouTube’s history.

Mozilla – the company behind the popular Firefox web browser announced that it is opening up several positions on its Add-ons team. Mozilla said that working on the Add-ons team "is a fun unique and rewarding experience."

F-Secure – the Finland-based company that specializes in providing antivirus and security software solutions, has announced that several positions in Helsinki and Kuala Lumpur have opened up.
