Plan on having a baby soon and don’t know what name to give your little one? Your little one is due soon and you still haven’t picked up a name? If you answered “yes” and “yes” to those questions, then there’s only one thing I can say to you, and that think is: take out your iOS-powered device and let it lend you a helping hand. There’s an app for everything and that includes naming babies.

This free app works with iOS 3.0 or later and has the following to offer: a list of 30,000 names to choose from, detailed information and a popularity graph for each name, pronunciations for more than 5,000 names, the option to save choices as favorites, search feature to find names that start and/or end with a particular letter, the option to post your choice to Facebook,
Baby Namer by Escape Plan B
This app which costs $0.99 and works with iOS 3.1.2 or later offers a fun way to find a name for your baby: simply shake your mobile device and the app will present a name. The app will choose from a database containing thousands of names. It will choose between popular boy names, popular girl names, popular names for twins, unique names for girls and unique names for boys.

Priced at $0.99, this application works with iOS 2.0 or later. It provides more than 40,000 name combinations, the option to look for similar names, info on the origin of a name, and info on the meaning of a name.
5000 Baby Boy Names and 5000 Baby Girls Names by 138App.com
Offered by the same developer, these two apps are priced at $0.99 and work with iOS 3.0 or later. One application comes with a database of 5000 baby boy names while the other with a database of 5000 baby girl names. The apps provide info on pronunciation, the origin and meaning of a name, historical facts associated with a name, the popularity of a name, and lists names similar to the one you chose.
