First iTunes Festival in the US Will Offer Five Nights of Great Music

Apple is bringing the popular iTunes Festival to the US. The company announced that the first iTunes Festival to be held in the US will run from March 12 to March 16 in Austin, Texas.

Lots of artists will perform during the festival’s five nights of fun: Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, Keith Urban, ZEDD and more.

The iTunes Festival is already a big thing in Europe. Since its beginning in 2007, the month-long music festival that is held at The Roundhouse art centre in London, has featured more than 400 artists that performed in front of more than 430,000 fans. On top of that, tens of millions of fans from all corners of the world watched the festival online.

As you can see, the iTunes Festival is a big thing – and it is now coming to the US! Great news then for music fans in the good old US of A.

“The iTunes Festival in London has become an incredible way for Apple to share its love of music with our customers,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “We're excited about the incredible lineup of artists performing and SXSW is the perfect place to debut the first iTunes Festival in the US.”

Here are the main things you need to know about the first iTunes Festival in the US.

When?
The festival will run from March 12 through March 16.

Where?
The iTunes Festival at SXSW will take place at ACL Lice at the Moody Theater. The Moody Theater is in Austin, Texas.

Who?
The festival will feature Coldplay, Pitbull, Keith Urban, Imagine Dragons, ZEDD, Willie Nelson, London Grammar, and more.

How?
How can you watch? You can attend the shows in person, or you can watch the shows online. Live streaming and on-demand streaming will be offered via the iTunes Store. You will also be able to watch performances in the iTunes Festival app.
