Firefox 27 Enhances Social Integration Functionality
The recently released Firefox version 27.0 enhances the social integration functionality you can expect to get from the browser.
And more to the point, with the release of version 27, the Firefox browser got new social partners and got the ability to run more than one social service at a time.
As you already know, thanks to Mozilla’s Social API, the Firefox browser provides support for multiple social media services. Facebook was the first to be integrated with the browser - starting with version 17, users could use Facebook Messenger within the Firefox browser. When Firefox 21 was rolled out to the public, support for more social services was introduced: Cliqz, Mixi, and msnNOW.
The list of supported social media services grows with the release of Firefox 27. The browser now comes with support for two new providers: Delicious, the social bookmarks manager, and Saavn, a popular music player in India.
No matter where you are on the web, with Delicious for Firefox you can easily and quickly share links to your Delicious network. Visit the Tools section of your Delicious account to activate Delicious for Firefox.
Indian users will be glad to find out that thanks to Saavn for Firefox they can access their favorite Indian music while browsing the web. A feed of top songs, new album releases, popular playlists, and popular radio stations is presented within Firefox by the Saavn sidebar. Follow this link to activate Saavn for Firefox.
