Find Skater Tux, Win a Linux Skateboard
To honor the fact that this year the LinuxCon North America 2012 annual technical conference will take place in San Diego, The Linux Foundation decided that the gift for the LinuxCon/CloudOpen speaker should be a cool looking Linux-themed skateboard (this is a fitting gift considering that San Diego is well known for its skateboarding community).
How cool looking? Just take a look the image below (left – up side; right – down side of the board).

And since it had a couple extra boards on hand, The Linux Foundation decided to launch an interesting competition and give two community members the chance to win one of these extra boards.
Until The 15th of August, Skater Tux (pictured below) will skate through The Linux Foundation’s websites, LinuxFoundation.org, Linux.com, Linux Foundation Events, Linux Training. To win a Linux-themed skateboard you need to find Skater Tux and share the link to his location on Twitter or Identi.ca using #linuxcon AND #cloudopen hashtags or email it to pr@linuxfoundation.org. To help you find Skater Tux, The Linux Foundation will post hints on its social channels.

Out of all the people who find Skater Tux between August 3rd and August 15th, The Linux Foundation will randomly pick two winners. Find Skater Tux once and you earn one entry in to the draw; find Tux several times, and you get several entries into the draw. The more entries you have, the more chances you have of winning a cool skateboard.
LinuxCon North America will take place in San Diego, California, between the 29th and 31st of August. The event will run alongside the Linux Plumbers Conference and exclusive Linux Kernel Summit. The Linux Foundation explained that by running all these events in the same location, the brightest minds in the Linux world will have the chance to get together under one roof and focus on advancing the Linux platform.
On August 31st, between 12 and 1:30, in the outdoor lunch area, professional skateboarders will run demos and offer free lessons. Those who show mad skateboarding skills will be rewarded by these pro skaters with gift packs.
