Field Trip: Google's Travel App Now Available for iOS

Google has a nice surprise for iOS users: a new app that will help you uncover interesting things around you. Or as the official description goes, Lifestyle is “your guide to the cool, hidden, and unique things in the world around you.”



The Field Trip app that has been available on the Play Store for some time now has finally landed in the App Store. The app that numerous Android users from all over the world have grown to love is now available to the millions of iOS users out there. Go get Lifestyle and enjoy this nice travel and discovery app from Google.

What Field Trip does is it enhances your travel experience by providing useful information about the places near your location. It runs in the background and when you get close to some interesting location, it notifies you about it. If you have your earphones plugged in or if you have a Bluetooth device, the app can even speak out information about that interesting location.

“Field Trip can help you learn about everything from local history to the latest and best places to shop, eat, and have fun. You select the local feeds you like and the information pops up on your phone automatically, as you walk next to those places,” says the app official description in the app Store.
