Featured Office Time Waster: P.I.C.O

What are you supposed to do in front of your PC on this beautiful day of Friday? One thing is for sure; you should not ruin your good mood by working and instead check out a Worm’s like, in-browser game called P.I.C.O. Remember the Worms game from a while back? Well, this is pretty much the same in that you get to command a three man team against a computer or human adversary controlled opposing team.

Why did I choose this game? This week has been all about waiting; we have been waiting for Microsoft to release Windows 7 Beta 1, we have been waiting for Apple to release some additional details on the Mac OS X 10.6, codename Snow Leopard, and we have been waiting for Debian 5 Linux. What we did not have to wait for was the release of Thunderbird 2.0.0.19, Fring 3.34, Gimp 2.6.4, Super Ubuntu 2008.11, Pandora 2.0 and gOS 3.1 Gadgets SP1.

If all this waiting has put some strain on you and is causing every muscle in your body to ache, then take out your iPhone and fire up the massager app; if that doesn’t do the job then perhaps the Craigsphone app will aid you in finding a licensed massage therapist.

Perhaps you would like to leave your boring job behind and go in the music industry. If this is the case, then you must know that iPerform3D will provide you with detailed, 3D tutorials on how to play the guitar, directly in your browser window . When you are done you will most likely want to brag about your achievement and what better way to do so than with the recently released Windows Live Messenger 2009?

Getting back to the game here is the basic info you need to be made aware of: you can select only three characters to be in your team; you can play against the computer or against another human player, pressing “P” on the keyboard will pause the game so use this time to check out the surroundings (both in the game and in your office if you are playing this at your work place).
