Featured Office Time Waster: Boombot 2, Return of the Boom King and Monster Evolution
All right, you know the drill: put down all your works stuff and relax by reading this week’s software news and by playing a simple, yet catchy Flash game. This week I have a game that will blow your mind – well not actually, but will have you grinding your teeth as you approach the final 50th level. In Boombot 2, Return of the Boom King, the goal remains the same as in Boombot 1: get the Telletubbies-looking character from point A (which is anywhere on the screen) to point B (the Stargate-looking portal) by blowing stuff up; as the levels rack up you will see that the puzzle game becomes harder and harder.
Why did I choose this game? Pure, male logic that seeing and blowing things up is fun; no other more complicated reason. With the explanation out of the way, let’s move on to this week’s software news, and the new presentation format I am trying out – which is to say that I am going to simply present this week’s software news in several categories as opposed to putting links in an narrative passage.

Here is a BONUS for the people that follow these series, the ones that noticed that last week we failed to provide an Office Time Waster and consequently got rather upset about it. Monster Evolution (play here) is a game where the purpose is to obliterate as many people as it takes for you to grow into a bigger, meaner monster.
