F-Secure, Finland-based company that specializes in providing antivirus and security software solutions, has released F-Secure Internet Security 2011 to the public earlier this month. We’ve known about this application ever since it was released as a Beta in June. At the time company representatives explained that F-Secure Internet Security 2011 would be faster than previous versions, would be easier to use than previous versions, and would offer a higher level of protection than previous versions.

The next time we heard about F-Secure Internet Security 2011 was in August when the company rolled out a three and half minute long video clip in which it talks about the security software solution. In the clip F-Secure explained that it took user feedback into consideration and during the development process of F-Secure Internet Security 2011 it made sure to address the needs of the user.

According to F-Secure, the user wants the following:
- An easy to install and easy to use application.
- The right protection at the right time, not a big confusing bunch of technical bits and pieces.
- The security software must not distract the user and must let him go about his day without constantly interrupting him.
- The security software must provide adequate, properly good online security.

The next time we heard about F-Secure Internet Security 2011 was earlier this month when the final version of the security software solution was released to the public. F-Secure did not disappoint – just as it said in the video and when the Beta version was released, F-Secure Internet Security 2011 is incredibly easy to use, offers multi-layered protection against security threats, and offers fast performance for computers.

“I’m confident that our consumer research has resulted in a security software that sets a new standard in ease-of-use and will continue to help consumers feel secure online. Its cloud-based technology and minimal system impact also makes it the most technologically advanced product that we have ever launched,” commented Antti Reijonen, VP Consumer Business & Marketing.

To better put things in perspective, here is what you can expect to get from F-Secure Internet Security 2011:
  • F-Secure’s smart cloud technology – malware-crunching technology that offers multi-layered protection against all types of malware attacks.
  • Real-time protection – the security software solution protects against viruses, spyware, worms, trojans, rootkits and zero-day attacks in real-time.
  • Great performance – F-Secure Internet Security 2011 uses little memory and doesn’t slow down your computer. To put it bluntly, it just works fast.
  • Firewall – the firewall protects against hacker attacks
  • Browsing protection - F-Secure Internet Security 2011 identifies the sites that pose a threat, the sites that are usafe to visit.
  • Identity theft protection – I think this feature needs no explanations.
  • Spam and phishing protection – F-Secure Internet Security 2011 keeps spam out of your inbox and protects against phishing attacks.
  • Children safety – F-Secure Internet Security 2011 comes with parental controls that you can use to ensure your children safely surf the web.
