The thinnest laptop in the world isn’t a MacBook and it doesn’t run Apple’s OS X. It is HP’s redesigned Spectre, a 10mm-thin notebook that runs Microsoft’s latest and greatest, the Windows 10 operating system.

The HP Spectre brilliantly blends together exceptional engineering and craftsmanship with beauty and performance. Here are all the things you need to know about this Windows 10-powered device. Starting with...

How it looks like

The redesigned HP Spectre has a CNC machined aluminum chassis and comes with a hand-polished, high quality finish that features high gloss copper accents. And I have to say, it looks amazing.

The bottom is made from carbon fiber, which creates a thin yet durable profile and makes the laptop very easy to carry. Speaking about that, I think it’s worth mentioning that the laptop’s total weight is just 2.35lbs (1.06kilos). It’s also worth mentioning that the Spectre has a backlit keyboard and glass trackpad.

Connecting the laptop’s upper and lower part is an innovative hidden piston hinge that creates the illusion of a hinge-less design. I think you will agree that this gives the HP Spectre a premium look-and-feel.

The HP Spectre features edge-to-edge Corning Gorilla Glass. This will protect the 13-inch display against scratches and other things of the sort.

What’s under the hood

HP had the mobile professional in mind when it created the Spectre. Furthermore, many of HP’s team members use the Spectre as their primary device. This means that it needs to be more than just a pretty face. It must be powerful as well. And that it is, just take a look at its main specs.
