For about two hundred bucks you could get a premium design smartphone that runs Windows 10, has a diamond cut metal frame, a generous 5-inch display, and 16GB of internal storage.

The phone I am talking about is the new Lumia 650, which is described by Microsoft as “the perfect combination of premium looks and performance-driven features.” Here’s pretty much everything you need to know about it.

  • Cortana personal assistant.
  • Windows Maps navigation app.

  • Facebook, Twitter, and other social apps.
“Lumia 650 runs the latest Microsoft Office apps right out of the box, allowing you to create and edit documents on-the-go and sync them to the cloud via OneDrive,” Microsoft’s Samuli Hänninen explained. “It’s also perfect for picking up on email and an important presentation during your commute. And with Cortana, your very own personal assistant, you’re always organized and prepared for the day ahead.”

The Lumia 650 Lacks Windows 10's Best Mobile Feature

Microsoft pitches the Lumia 650 as business class device that offers customers the best of Microsoft productivity and security.

“We’re extremely proud of the Lumia 650 and believe it will quickly be seen as the device that provides the perfect balance between work and personal needs,” said Samuli Hänninen. “By providing a consistent experience across PC and phone through the power of Windows 10, we think professionals and Windows fans alike will love using it every day,” Hänninen added.

There is a slight issue: no Continuum. One of the best features that Windows 10 offers to mobile users, and it’s missing.

I remind you that Continuum is aimed at business and enterprise users. It is a feature that allows you to use your phone as you would a PC, by connecting said phone to a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It’s kind of weird that Microsoft would release a phone that’s aimed at businesses and not include support for Continuum.

Nokia 650 – Price & availability

The suggested retail price for the Lumia 650 is of $199 before local taxes and subsidies.

The Lumia 650 starts rolling out in select European markets on February 18, 2016. It will likely come to the US via Cricket Wireless, a subsidiary of AT&T.

Speaking about select European markets, here is the Lumia 650 hands-on video that Microsoft France released.
