Eugene Kaspersky Is the Business Person of the Year

The security software solutions developed by Kaspersky Lab get recognized on a regular basis; they constantly win awards from various organizations and from the media. The man behind Kaspersky Lab, Eugene Kaspersky, the co-founder and CEO of the company that develops leading threat management solutions, has received some recognition as well.

Eugene Kaspersky was named Business Person of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. Eugene Kaspersky received the award as part of an awards ceremony that took place at the Lotte Hotel in Moscow on the 19th of May. More than 200 business executives, politicians and entrepreneurs were present at the ceremony.

Several awards were handed out by the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia as part of the awards ceremony: Company of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award, Friend of the Chamber, Committee Co-Chair of the Year, and the AmCham Chairman’s Award. The Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce mulled things over and gave the Business Person of the Year award to Eugene Kaspersky in recognition of his outstanding achievements.

“It is a great honor for me to receive such an important award,” commented Eugene Kaspersky. “We greatly appreciate our partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. We became members in 2009 and since that time have been working together very successfully. I have every confidence that Kaspersky Lab will go on to even greater success in the future as we at the company know that it is essential to continue working hard to provide our customers with the very latest and most innovative IT security technologies.”
