Patch 1.6 for Age of Empires: Castle Siege has recently been released and Microsoft was glad to announce that this new update has tons of epic new content to offer. Things like the all-new Musket tower or the new Grenadier unit.

Here’s a video preview that quickly presents what Patch 1.6 has to offer. A list of new features is available below.

Age of Empires: Castle Siege 1.6 – New Features
  • New Unit – Grenadiers are new units that can be recruited in Age 7 from the Siege Workshop.
  • New Structure – the Musket Tower is a new structure that can be built in Age 9.
  • Age 9 – you can progress to Age 9 and purchase Age 9 upgrades for units and buildings.
  • Watch Signal and Watch Tower – purchase the Watch Signal in Age 4 and upgrade it through Age 9. Thanks to the Watch Tower, Alliance members can donate squads to other Alliance members. If the Watch Signal is triggered during an attack, these squads will help defend the castle.
  • Market Inventory – store decorations in the Market inventory. Withdrawing stored items doesn’t cost a thing.
  • Attack Notification – when you’re about to be attacked, you’ll get a notification.
  • Peace Treaty and Peace Treaty Icon – players will receive a Peace Treaty for every attack; if you’re openly able to be attacked, the Peace Treaty icon will be red.
Additional information on what Patch 1.6 has to offer is available on the Age of Empires blog here.
