The latest Rethink IE project, Gargantia: Sky Courier, lets you enter the anime world of Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet.

Thanks to a collaboration between Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team and Japanese anime studio Production I.G., fans all over the word can enjoy a 3D gaming experience in their web browser – preferably Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 11 on a touch device.

The latest project to be published on Rethink IE is called Gargantia: Sky Courier. The result of a collaboration between Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team and Japanese anime studio Production I.G., this project lets you enter the anime world of Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. You can enjoy three game modes: story mode, mission mode, and free flight mode.

“We wanted as many people as possible to be able to experience Gargantia: Sky Courier, and that is why we were very glad to collaborate with Internet Explorer,” said Nao Hirasawa, a producer at Production I.G. “IE11’s WebGL technology allowed us to create a beautiful, 3D version of our Gargantia world for the web.”

Gargantia: Sky Courier works on all modern devices that have a browser that supports WebGL. According to Microsoft though, Sky Courier is perfect for touch in Internet Explorer.
