After you install DroidPad on your desktop computer and on your Android smartphone you will be able to use the smartphone as you would a wireless mouse. Or you could use the smartphone as a joystick controller.

DroidPad, an application offered by Digitalsquid for free, turns your Android-powered smartphone into a joystick, a mouse, or a slideshow presenter. You can use your Android device as such while it is connected to your desktop machine via a USB cable or via WiFi. So, if you happened to break your wireless mouse for example, you can use DroiPad to control your desktop computer via WiFi.

How DroidPan Replaces Your Wireless Mouse on Windows
  • Step 1. Go get the DroidPad app for Android. It is available for download for free in the Play Store here.
  • Step 2. Go get DroidPad for your desktop machine. The application is available for free on the official Digitalsquid website here. You can get DroidPad for Microsoft’s Windows operating system and for open-source Linux operating system.
  • Step 3. Launch the DroidPan app on your device, select the Mouse tab, and pick one of three options: Mouse using device tilting, mouse using a trackpad, or Mouse by pointing. I would advise you to go with the trackpad option.
  • Step 4. Launch the DroidPan application on your Windows PC, enter the IP provided by the app, connect to the phone.
Now, when you touch your Android device’s screen, the mouse cursor on your Windows-powered machine will move around. Tap the corresponding button on the screen and the left click, right click, or middle button will be activated.

So to recap, you have a free application that lets you control your PC via USB or WiFi. The application turns your Android smartphone into a joystick, a mouse, or a slideshow presenter.
