Here’s the scenario I have in mind. It is Friday and you get off work. After a long week doing nothing but sitting in front of the computer, you just want to unwind and have a nice drink. But alas, you didn’t get paid yet and you don’t have a lot of money to spend. So what do you do? Do what I always do – turn to software for help.

And more to the point, take advantage of the functionality the Great Owl Technologies-developed app DrinkOwl has to offer. What does the app do, you ask? Here’s it’s official description, that should put things in perspective:
“DrinkOwl is a mobile app for finding great drink specials, happy hours, and coupons in your city. It works on iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, and BlackBerry.”

At the time of writing this the app lists more than 50,000 drink specials and coupons in more than 75 cities. It is a great way to find cheap drinks and uncover new places at the same time.

The DrinkOwl app is offered free of charge, which is great. Above, in the scenario I had in mind, I mentioned that you don’t have a lot of money to spend. Since you’ll need the little money you have to buy drinks, you’ll appreciate that you don’t have to part with any of it to get the DrinkOwl app.
