We are all familiar with search engine giant Google and its immensely popular video sharing site YouTube. Well, MegaVideo is also a video sharing web page and it is so popular that it is amongst the top 100 most visited sites in the US of A. The last time we checked MegaVideo ranked at number 50 while YouTube was sitting comfortable in the 4th position.

The most notable difference between the two web pages consists in the fact that one lets you download videos and save them to your machine while the other doesn’t. Can you guess which is which? Yes, YouTube does not yet let you download content of their site (apart for the Barack Obama channel) and that is why you need to use software to get the video you want. MegaVideo does, but only if you are a paying subscriber – which is really a bother in these times of financial distress.

Megavideo Video Downloader is a free piece of software that takes the monetary issue out of the equation; it lets you seamlessly download video content of MegaVideo. Just paste the URL, select the format in which to save the file (.avi, .mpeg, .wmv), click “Add” and before you know it you are $10 richer (a one month subscription to MegaVideo costs $9.99). If download speed is an issue, Megavideo Video Downloader informs you on the size of the file you wish to download, so you can decide whether you have time to spare now, or leave the computer running overnight.

If video footage of some random guy millions of miles away goofing off in front of the camera does not do it for you and you would much rather watch a movies instead, then I present Jinni. The web page is designed to aid people in discovering movies and TV shows, as well as help them in making up their mind what movie to watch.
