Following our report on Ghoster, the software program that gets you to focus, and EyesRelax, the application that tells you when it is time to take a break, let’s focus on something that is similar in function but the complete opposite in purpose: KeepMeOut!

Imagine this scenario if you will: you are at work, and instead of focusing on your task at hand, you find yourself browsing the web, frequently visiting your favorite web pages again and again. This is obviously affecting your productivity at work, not to mention the fact that you sped way too much time visiting those sites even in your free time. KeepMeOut is an online service that will help you for free, as long as you follow these simple steps:

Step 1 – Visit the KeepMeOut web page and type in the URL of the web site you wish to visit less frequently
Step 2 – Specify the amount of time in which you should visit a web page: more than once in X amount of minutes.
Step 3 – Bookmark the KeepMeOut alias; the next time you wish to visit that web page, click the alias instead. If you are violating the parameters you just set up, you will receive a warning message.

One site that you will definitely don’t want to lock yourself out of is your iGoogle homepage. With Valentines Day just around the corner, Google has launched an intriguing challenge to iGoogle users.

Associate Product Marketing Manager, Brittany Bohnet explains: “In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we're asking all iGoogle fans to share the love by submitting a written story or video describing what's special about their homepage. Your story can mention anything you want about your page — from something practical to something heartwarming. If you aren't a video whiz, don't worry. You can just tell it like it is. But we do encourage you to spice up your submission however you'd like — the best ones will be showcased for all to see. For each entry received, we will 'share the love' back by sending you a free set of iGoogle artist theme laptop stickers.”
