Opera Software, the Norwegian developer behind the Opera web browser, has recently announced that a customized version of its Opera Mini web browser has been released to Cytamobile-Vodafone customers in Cyprus, the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of its most popular tourist destinations.

Cytamobile-Vodafone customers in Cyprus can get the Opera Mini web browser and use it on just about any kind of mobile phone. You see, you don’t need a smartphone to use Opera Mini; the browser works on all mobile devices, feature phones included.

Get the customized Opera Mini web browser and you will get a browser that has a sleek interface, offers all the comforts of a modern browser (like tabbed browsing and one-click access to your favorite sites) and overall provides a fast browsing experience. Get the Opera Mini browser and you will be joining a community that’s 120 million strong (that’s the number of active monthly Opera Mini users). On the desktop front, Opera counts more than 55 million users. But I digress.

The release of the customized Opera Mini version is another step in Opera Software’s global agreement with Vodafone Group Services. Here’s what Opera Software CEO Lars Boilesen had to say about the partnership:
“Opera Mini has 121.7 million users across the globe and growing. Through our extended partnership with Cytamobile-Vodafone, more people in Cyprus will now experience the fastest web surfing on their mobiles.”

And here is what CMO of Cyta, Yiannis Souroullas, had to say about the partnership:
“This partnership is aligned with our overall strategy to offer innovative and comprehensive communication solutions so as to facilitate and above all to enrich our customers’ communication and entertainment. Opera Mini offers our customers an excellent browsing experience, even on mobile phones with small screens.”

Cytamobile-Vodafone is the exclusive Vodafone representative in Cyprus. It represents Cyta’s mobile telephony a brand name created as a result of the partnership agreement with Vodafone.
