Control a Computer from Distance, Protect Against Unwanted Software and Malware

Just because you are not in front of a computer it does not mean that you cannot control it; just like of you do not have a file stored locally does not meant you cannot access it. TeamViewer and Remote Computer repair are two software programs that will allow you to do just that – remote control a computer, be it your own or your partner’s, and do it all for free (even TeamViewer as long as it is not used for commercial purposes).

TeamViewer allows you to sit comfortably in your own chair and “connect to the desktop of a partner anywhere on the Internet” because we all know how annoying it is to give someone computer advice over the phone, with no actual visual confirmation of what is going on. Among the features included in this software application we have to mention the following: high security standards, high performance, no installation required, and last but not least, the software is more than capable of handling firewall protection.

Remote Computer Repair is similar to TeamViewer in that it allows remote computer control and comes free of cost (this time we are talking about freeware, not shareware). The main difference between the two is that Remote Compute Control has to be installed on the other machine, the one you will access remotely. Once that task is done you can perform all the regulars: view and kill processes, upload files, control the desktop, reboot with automatic login, and so on.

Sharing your computer may have some unexpected results. If you are worried that unwanted software or even malware made it to your machine, simply use FreeFixer to scan you computer and detect such problems. Just hit “Scan” and wait for the results to be displayed – then select the ones you want to get rid of.
