The Clear Console add-on for Mozilla’s Firefox browser makes it incredibly easy to remove several things you don’t want or need. With one click you can clear the history, cache, cookies, logins, and more.

What the Clear Console add-on does is it puts efficient removal functionality at your fingertips. From a centralized location, the dropdown in the upper right hand side on Firefox’s interface or the right click context menu, you can access the options to clear the cache, remove all cookies, delete all local storage, and more.

Clear Console has following functionality to offer:
  • Clear cookies
  • Clear history
  • Clear cache
  • Clear HTTP logins
  • Clear HTML/local storage
  • Clear all (do this using the Ctrl+ Alt + C hotkey)
  • Options (access the Clear Recent History prompt).
  • Restart the browser
  • Clear all & restart the browser
  • Notification (choose if you want to disable all notifications)
  • About

As mentioned above, Clear Console’s functionality can be accessed from the dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner on Firefox’s interface and from the right click context menu. Here are some images to better put things in perspective.

Clear Console is available for download for free on the official Firefox Add-ons website here.

There is a Mozilla community board that analyzes all nominated add-ons and recommends the best, most useful ones to the millions of users who make up the Firefox community. Anyone can nominate an add-on and the community board will cast its vote. The outstanding add-on to be chosen and featured by Mozilla this month is the aforementioned Clear Console.
