Children's Day Special: Something for the Dads
So today, since it’s the 1st of June, International Children’s Day, you gave your children all your attention. You took them for ice-cream, for a walk in the park, and you got them some nice apps to play with. Now all you want to do is relax and unwind. Perhaps sit your little ones in front of your PC and let them watch some cartoons while you go have a beer.
If that is the case, then I have two apps you should check out. The first is a Windows app that gives you piece of mind – it is called Kid-Key-Lock. Thanks to this app you can rest assured that even though your little ones start typing or clicking, they won’t do nothing bad to your PC.
That’s because the app allows you to:
- Lock left, middle, and right mouse button
- Lock double click
- Lock mouse wheel
- Lock standard character keys on the keyboard
- Lock additional keys (navigation keys, function keys, Home, End, and so on) on the keyboard
- Lock Windows system shortcuts like Alt + Tab, Start button, and so on.
- Lock all keys on the keyboard
- Use the mouse to deactivate Kid-Key-Lock when the keyboard is locked. Type in a password to deactivate Kid-Key-Lock when both the mouse and the keyboard are locked.
Once you’re done setting things up so your children can watch some cartoons on your PC, you can go grab yourself a beer. But you forgot to put the fresh batch you bought in the fridge and it’s all warm. You don’t want to drink warm beer, so what do you do? You get a handy app for your iPhone to help you out, that’s what you.
The app that can prove to be useful in this situation is the blueHula Studios-developed and aptly named Beer Timer. The app tells you when it’s time to get the beer out of the freezer – because you put it in the freezer to cool it faster, obviously. The app takes several factors into consideration, like the beer type, the size of the recipient it’s in, the type of recipient its in, and tells you precisely when to take the beer out and enjoy a nice cold one.
