The Galaxy A is Samsung’s line of slim, stylish, full metal body smartphones that are optimized for social networking. So far, we are familiar with the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. But now, Samsung has a new Galaxy A smartphone to offer – the new Galaxy A7.

Samsung Galaxy A7 – Main Features
  • Body – slim, full metal body; one of the slimmest Galaxy smartphones.
  • Display, dimensions, weight – 5.5” HD Super AMOLED display; 151 x 76.2 x 6.3mm; 141g.
  • Processor – 1.8GHz quad-core + 1.3GHz quad-core (LTE); 1.5Hz quad-core + 1.0GHz quad-core (LTE/3G dual-SIM).
  • Memory and storage – 2GB of RAM; 16GB internal memory; micro SD slot up to 64GB.
  • Camera & camera features – 13MP rear camera; 5MP front camera; wide selfie, rear-cam selfie, Beauty Face features.
  • Network and connectivity – LTE; WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC (LTE version only), GPS.
  • Sensors – accelerometer, proximity, geo-magnetic, RGB ambient light, hall sensor.
  • Battery – 2,600 mAh battery.
  • Operating System – Android 4.4 KitKat.

More good news for our Indian readers: Samsung unveiled a couple more mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy E5 and E7. Priced at Rs 19,300 and Rs 23,000, the two devices will go on sale from January 20. Here are the specs for these two devices.

  • Camera & camera features – 13MP rear camera; 5MP front camera; wide selfie, selfie voice command, selfie with palm gesture, Beauty Face features.
  • Network and connectivity – HSPA+; WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS.
  • Sensors – accelerometer, proximity.
  • Battery – 2,950 mAh battery.
  • Operating System – Android 4.4 KitKat.



Samsung Galaxy E5 – Main Features
  • Body – exquisitely crafted unibody with a narrow bezel; ergonomically designed with perfect grip for easy one hand operation.
  • Display, dimensions – 5.0” Super AMOLED display; 141.6 x 70.2 x 7.3mm.
  • Processor – 1.2 GHz quad-core.
  • Memory and storage – 1.5GB of RAM; 16GB internal memory; micro SD slot up to 64GB.
  • Camera & camera features – 8MP rear camera; 5MP front camera; wide selfie, selfie voice command, selfie with palm gesture, Beauty Face features.
  • Network and connectivity – HSPA+; WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS.
  • Sensors – accelerometer, proximity.
  • Battery – 2,400 mAh battery.
  • Operating System – Android 4.4 KitKat.
