The Like button that Facebook introduced back in 2010 is getting a remake. Facebook announced that it started rolling out new Like and new Share buttons.

Here’s how the new Like and Share buttons will look like.

Numerous websites around the web feature Facebook’s Like and Share buttons. They allow visitors to like interesting content and share interesting content with their Facebook friends. And just to put things in perspective, did you know that more than 7.5 million websites feature Like and Share buttons? And did you know that the Like and Share buttons are viewed more than 22 billion times a day?

The Like button, which was introduced by Facebook back in 2010, is now getting a remake. Facebook announced earlier this week that it started rolling out a new version of the Like button as well as a new version of the Share button.

“we're introducing a new design for both Like and Share to help people share more great content across the web. We're already seeing a favorable increase in Likes and Shares with the new design and will be rolling these buttons out to everyone in the coming weeks. If you are currently using the old Like button, you'll be automatically upgraded to the new design as part of our roll out. We've also made it easy for you to include the Like and Share buttons side by side and the Share button by itself,” announced Facebook via its Developer Blog.

Please note that only the design of the Like button will change. The button’s dimensions will not. As a developer, you don’t haveto do anything to prepare for the new Like button. It will be upgraded automatically.
