A clue to uncover the golden egg and thus have a change to attend the premier of the Rio animation movie was included in the Rio add that aired during the Superbowl (check it out on YouTube here). 26 seconds into the ad you will notice a red bird, a golden egg and the numbers 13-12 painted on a wall in the background. It’s not very easy to see.

Those scribbles on the wall are actually clues to how you can get the golden egg. What you have to do is go to level 13-12. Then you have to shoot a white bird backwards. Then what you have to do is drop an egg. If you do it right you will unlock a new football-shaped golden egg in the Golden Egg menu in the game.

By finding the golden egg you can enter a contest to attend the Rio movie premiere.

Produced by 20th Century Fox, the Rio animation, adventure, comedy movie will be released in the US on the 15th of April. The movie follows the story of Blu, a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly. Blu and Linda, his owner and best friend, think that Blu is the last of his kind. They find out that there’s another Macaw in Rio de Janeiro called Jewel. So Blu and Linda go to Rio de Janeiro. Some bungling animal smugglers then kidnap Blu and Jewel. After Blu and Jewel escape their kidnappers, thanks to Jewel’s street smarts and a group of wise-cracking and smooth-talking city birds, Blu has to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda.

This March the Angry Birds Rio game will be rolled out; it will feature 45 dedicated levels at first, more levels will be added via updates later on. In the Angry Birds Rio game the original Angry Birds are kidnapped and taken to the magical city of Rio. After escaping their captors, the angry birds set out to save Blue and Jewel.
