Earlier this month Cerulean Studios, the developer behind the popular multiprotocol instant messaging application Trillian, rolled out the Beta version of Trillian for Android to the public. Anyone interested in using Trillian on an Android-powered device could get Trillian for Android 1.0 Beta and put the application through its paces.

At the time of the release, Ceruleans Studios emphasized two things. First up, the developer said that it would release updates in the coming weeks to fix bugs, optimize the application’s speed and performance, and make it more reliable. The second thing the developer emphasized is the fact that Trillian for Android is a time-limited beta and will expire between releases. If you are Beta testing Trillian for Android, you need to have the latest release to stay connected.

The latest release is version 1.0 Build 74, which has been rolled out by Cerulean Studios a few days ago.

“We’ve been hard at work gathering feedback and fixing as many bugs as possible in Trillian for Android. Build 74 introduces a large number of fixes and improvements, including the addition of an Android ’service’ for more reliable notifications, an ongoing notification option, improvements to the keyboard, and a large number of crash fixes. Being able to test Trillian on the large number of Android devices in the wild has been very helpful for us and we hope this next build proves to be more stable for everyone as a result. We will continue fixing bugs as we progress through the beta,” announced Cerulean Studios.

If you are already Beta testing Trillian for Android, you need only sign out; when you sign back in, you will see an update notification.
If you would like to test Trillian for Android Beta, you can get the application in one of two ways. Either visit http://trillian.im/get/android/ from your Android browser, or scan the QR code below.
