Dropbox rolled out a new gallery app called Carousel. Available for iOS and Android, the app combines all your photos and videos and gives them a new, a single home.

This is the video that accompanied the lauch of Carousel. It is entitled “Carousel: Your entire life at your fingertips.”

The Dropbox team recently rolled out a new gallery app that pulls together all your photos and videos and lets you manage them all from a single location. The new app in question is called Carousel – it is available for free on Apple’s App Store and on Google’s Play Store.

“Carousel is ready for you to try out today on iOS and Android, and we hope you’ll take it for a spin,” said the Dropbox team. “It’s once again possible to hold and share every photo from your life, but this is just day one. We’re thrilled to start crafting a home for your memories.”

Before you go get Carousel and take it for a spin, have a look at the functionality it has to offer. To keep things nice and short, I’ve listed the application’s main features below.

Carousel – Main Features
  • A single home for all your photos and videos
  • The app combines the photos on your phone with the photos on your Dropbox.
  • New photos are automatically backed up to the cloud.
  • Photos are sorted automatically.
  • Share photos and videos with others, in private conversations.
  • Save the photos others share with you.
  • Offered for free to iOS and Android users.
To sum it up, Carousel offers a single home for every photo and video you’ve ever taken. Photos and videos are automatically placed in the cloud, they are automatically sorted, and they are conveniently presented to you. View them and reminisce about the past on your own. Or swap memories with friends via private conversations.
