One of this year’s most exciting titles is DICE and EA’s open-world action-adventure platform video game, Mirror's Edge Catalyst.

As Faith Connors, a carefree and self-assured thrill-seeker, you have to traverse the futuristic city of Glass and go against the oppressive Conglomerate as well as the evil Gabriel Kruger. But you can’t use guns, only parkour and martial arts.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst, the long-awaited reboot to 2008’s Mirror’s Edge, is going to be released next month. It’s scheduled for a May 24 release in North America and a May 26 release in Europe. The game is going to be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows.

If you’re planning to play the game on Windows, you need to know if your PC can handle it. And one way you can find that out, is by checking the game’s system requirements.

That being said, it is my pleasure to announce that the minimum and recommended system requirements for Mirror's Edge Catalyst have finally been revealed. Here they are.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst – Minimum Requirements
  • Operating system – Windows 7, 64-bit edition with the latest service pack.
  • Processor – Intel i3-3250; AMD FX-6350 (the game requires at least 4 logical cores to run).
  • Memory – 6GB of RAM.
  • Storage – At least 25GB of free hard disk space.
  • Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB or better; AMD Radeon R9 270x or better.
  • Input – keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst – Recommended Requirements
  • Operating system – Windows 10, 64-bit edition.
  • Processor – Intel Core i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz; AMD FX-8350 at 4.0 GHz.
  • Memory – 16GB of RAM.
  • Storage – at least 25 GB of free disk space.
  • Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB or better; AMD Radeon R9 280x 3GB or better.
  • Input – keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller.

As mentioned above, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is going to be released this May. I bring this up again only to mention that you can pre-order the Standard Edition for PC from Origin. It's priced at $59.99 if you’re from the US and €59.99 if you’re from Europe.

Sixty bucks isn’t exactly cheap. So to get you to pre-order, EA is throwing in a pre-order bonus that features a Combat Runner Kit and a Speed Runner Kit.

UPDATE: the game's release date has been pushed back by a couple of weeks. Mirror's Edge Catalyst will not be released on May 24 and 26.

Instead, it will be released on June 7 in the US and June 9 in Europe.
