What is For Honor?

If you’re not familiar with For Honor, here’s the quick lowdown: it is an online action hack and slash video game set in a medieval world. It is in this harsh yet beautiful world that you must "carve a path of destruction through vivid, larger-than-life battlefields. Master medieval weaponry and participate in brutal, fast-paced melee combat in an engaging story campaign and novel multiplayer modes.”

The times of peace are over. The battle is coming!

There are three different factions to choose from: the brash and mighty Knights, the skilled and cunning Samurai, or the fearsome and nigh unstoppable Vikings. Each faction and class has its unique skills and uses distinct melee weapons.

For each faction, there are four different classes to choose from:
  • Knights – Conqueror, Warden, Peacekeeper, Lawbringer.
  • Samurai – Orochi, Kensei, Shugoki, Nobushi.
  • Vikings – Berserker, Raider, Warlord, Valkyrie.
For Honor’s Campaing Mode can be played single-player or two-player co-op. By playing the campaign you are immersing yourself into a bloody war between Knights, Vikings, and Samurai. "Embodying the greatest warriors of each faction, players experience some of the defining moments that led to the war. Dealing with manipulation, betrayal, and catastrophic reversal, they will need wits and skills to ensure victory."

On top of the aforementioned Campaign Mode, For Honor features several multiplayer game modes: Dominion, Duel, and Brawl. Dominion is a 4v4 battle where you must be the first team to score 1000 points; you do that by illing enemies, capturing specific areas, and controlling them over time. Duel is a 1v1 battle where you battle it out against a single opponent in a best of five-round fight in an arena. And Brawl is a 2v2, best-of-five rounds battle to the death, with no respawns.

For Honor launches on February 14 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The game is available for pre-order on the Ubisoft Store and Steam. Pricing starts at $59.99 for the Standard Edition.
